In 2016 I began to experiment with the simplicity of line and prayer. I took chinese ink and with a breath began the line, as I let the breath out I meditated on a verse from the Bible, 'The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.' Each line is a meditation, a study of beginning and end, and the flow and tension between. Over and over I did this, getting to know, the touch of beginning, and the lift of the end, and not worrying too much about what might happen in the middle.
